Balance

A balanced diet is a key part of keeping healthy.  But how do you find out exactly what you should be eating?  A balanced diet contains different types of food.  This includes lots of fruit and vegetables, starchy foods such as wholemeal bread and wholegrain cereals; foods rich in protein such as meat, fish, eggs and lentils; and also some dairy foods.  You can find out more about a balanced diet by visiting the Food Standards Agency's Eat Well website.
